How to measure the trapezoid shade

How to Measure for Inside Mount

  • Measure the Depth: Measure your window frame for an inside mount only. The window bottom corners must be 90°. Minimum depth required is 2" (5 cm), and the recommended depth for optimal installation is 2 3/4" (7 cm).
  • Measure the base : Place the tape inside the window frame and measure left-to-right at the top, middle, and bottom. Keep it level, record each measurement, and use the smallest one, rounding down to the nearest 1/8" (0.125").
  • Measure the inside height: Measure the longest vertical edge of the window jamb from top to bottom, inside the window opening, and rounding down to the nearest 1/8" (0.125").
  • Measure the Hypotenuse:Measure the sloped edge of any raked window from one side to the other, inside the window opening, and rounding down to the nearest 1/8" (0.125").
Tips for Inside Mount
  1. Use a steel tape measure and record each window individually—do not assume sizes are the same.
  2. Use the narrowest width and shortest height—do not make any deductions
  3. The factory will automatically allow approximately 3/16" (5 mm) to ensure proper and safe installation.
