Before ordering, make sure the window recess has sufficient depth and that the mounting surfaces are flat, solid, and even.

The motor, end caps, and operating components require space on both sides of the shade. Therefore, the overall product width is wider than the fabric width. A small light gap at each side is normal for roller shades.

Yes, but an outside mount requires installation brackets and screws, so it will no longer be a no-drill installation. The side components may also remain more visible because this model does not include full side covers.
